Due to a fire incident at the National Information Resources Service, the operation of the 2026 GKS Online Application System (studyinkorea.go.kr) has been suspended, and online application is currently unavailable.

In this Regard, because of the system recovery delay, the application process will be switched to offline submission.

Application Method: Online submission (studyinkorea.go.kr) → (Changed to) In-person or postal submission

Application Period: September 15 – September 30 (16 days) → (Changed to) October 6 – October 17 (12 days)

Previous: Online submission from Sep. 15–Sep. 30 → Oct.8–Oct.14 Announcement of Document Examination Results and Interview → Result announced by Oct. 17  

Revised: In-person/postal submission from Oct.6 – Oct.17 →  Oct.20–Oct.24 Announcement of Document Examination Results and Interview → Results announced by Oct.27

Important Notice: Even applicants who already submitted online must re-apply offline, (previously submitted data cannot be retrieved due to system loss.)

Required Documents (Embassy Track):

General / Overseas Koreans: 1 original document with Apostille (or consular confirmation) + 3 simple copies

R-GKS: 1 original docment with Apostille (or consular confirmation) + 2 simple copies

※ All interviewees should submit all the required original documents(including the printed application form) to the Embassy before his/her interview, and if not, he/she may not be able to attend the interview.
