Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Mission of the Republic of Korea to the African Union

The National Institute for International Education (NIIED) of the Republic of Korea is looking for students who want to join “2026 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) Program for Undergraduate Degrees.” Those who are interested in the program, please submit the required documents to the Korean Embassy through on-line by September 30, 18:00(Korea Standard Time).

1. Number of Expected Students : Total 2 students (1  General, 1  R-GKS)

※ Students also can apply through the university track, according to the attached guideline.

2. How to Apply & Process

ㅇ From this year, all applicants are required to create a membership account on the Study in Korea website and submit their applications online.  (www.studyinkorea.go.kr)

ㅇ 1st Round Document Examination Result Announcement:  October 8

ㅇ For those whose application passes the screening, the Embassy will contact to set up a schedule for interview.

※ All interviewees should submit all the required original documents(including the printed application form) to the Embassy before his/her interview, and if not, he/she may not be able to attend the interview.

ㅇ Final candidates will be informed in November.

Please Note : 

- Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances. All applicants are required to strictly comply with the deadline.

- Please make sure all required documents are duly verified before submission. (Missing documents may lead to automatic disqualification.)

-  All documents issued in Ethiopia must be notarized by MOFA of Ethiopia, and then notarized by the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Ethiopia.
